After achieving my M.S. in laser spectroscopy at Yonsei University, I worked as a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh with Professor Gilbert Walker for two years. When Professor Walker moved to the University of Toronto, I joined Sanford's lab and entered the Molecular Biophysics Graduate Program (www.biophysics.pitt.edu). I have been using homebuilt single-molecule microscopes for spectroscopy of DNA/protein interactions.
