Dr.
Leuba received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Biophysics at Oregon State
University where he studied chromatin fiber structure with Dr. Ken van
Holde. He received a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowship
to study chromatin fiber structure by Atomic Force Microscopy in the laboratory
of Dr. Carlos Bustamante in the Institute of Molecular Biology at the
University of Oregon. This training was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship
with Dr. Stuart M. Lindsay at Arizona State University to study chromatin
using Dynamic Force Microscopy. A four-year National Cancer Institute
Scholar award brought Dr. Leuba to the NIH where he applied single-molecule
approaches to the structure and dynamics of single chromatin fibers. Here
in Pittsburgh, Dr. Leuba has continued these single-molecule approaches
to chromatin. |
